  • Hello all WW's fans.

Hi all. My name is Jess and I am less than a month away (Nov 19)from turning the BIG 30!!! And that freakin scares me to death. For one, I am no way close to where I imagined I'd be in my life when I was 30. I am still living with my mom, still in school, still unemployed and still not in control of my weight.

In that case I am looking for all the help I can find. I am actually hoping to find a workout buddy in my area. I am in Maryland (Glen Burnie).

Right now I weigh about 175-180 and I am looking to get back to my high school weight of about 140. I know to put a time frame on weightloss is stupid so I'm not going to give myself a certain month to be at my goal weight. But I would like to see a big change in how my clothes fit by spring or maybe bikini season.

I have a closet full of little black dresses I have been dying to actually wear outside of my bedroom for years. I have been too embarassed to wear anything like them in public.

I'm not a very good sleeper so I am usually up at like 3am eating whatever i can find that looks good in the fridge. Plus, I'm not very good with portian sizes etc...

Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hello Jess

I do not live near you but maybe your mom would be a walking buddy with you. Have you had a physical lately? I would discuss the sleep habit with a doctor and see if there is something els that is underlying.

  • Hi Jess!

I want to wish you luck in your new journey. It can often seem overwhelming when you first start to make life changes, but we're here to support you along the way.

Have you had any luck finding someone to workout with? What did you think of the other member's suggestion of asking your mom to be a walking buddy? When I can't find a walking buddy, I download a book or podcast to my iPod and go it alone. It's amazing how quickly time flies when you're listening to something interesting! I'll be gone for an hour before I even realize it!

Let me know how it all works out for you.

    xo,

    Miss S.O.
