Holiday please?

Hardly back home for a week now, and already work and other little "enjoyable" things like cleaning the house, clearing out the cupboards (do we really still need that coffee pot with the broken handle?) or sorting out the endless bills arriving are threatening to deplete my energy levels.

Small wonder, when the weather outside our windows never gives any proper indication that it is actually time to wake up (I can never quite tell what time of day it is with the eternal gloom). Still, this week-end we did venture out into town, and took a very "refreshing" (and quick) walk along the beach. I would not actually call it enjoyable, but at least we enjoyed our hot tea indoors twice as much afterwards LOL

High time to start up my yoga routine too - looking forward to tomorrow night to "ommmm" myself out of my lethargy :-) Nearly as good as a holiday!

  • Hello Jessica, I can really recommend Kundalini Yoga - I'm going to classes, but also like the Maya Fiennes DVDs for home use. And any type of yoga is good (although some are more demanding than others). Let us know which type of yoga you choose :-)

  • Oh good. A second blog to reply to from the lovely JayCee. :)

Yes, yes, yes or no, no, no - the gloom! It's the same here in Toronto. It's been so gloomy there are some days I want to scream for mercy. Actually today the sun came out for a while. It was absolutely wonderful. Sadly I wasn't out at all in it but I just enjoying looking out the window and enjoying the fact I could see actual sky!

Enjoy the yoga. It will help you relax and breathe. That's a big deal when things seem gloomy.

  • As a former resident of the east coast, I can share your pain so far as cold and gloom for the winter months!! I want to try yoga...have you been doing it long? Can you suggest any good dvd's or do you attend classes?
